Press Release: ACI supports regulatory education for compliance professionals in the financial community
In addition to the paid consulting and outsourcing services offered by Accounting & Compliance International (ACI), the company strives to promote and provide educational opportunities for chief compliance officers and compliance staff, especially at small firms that do not have the same resources for compliance education found at larger firms. To that end, ACI has sponsored educational conferences offered through FINRA, NSCP and NAIBD and is a member of the MFA an advocacy group for Hedge Funds and Investment Advisors. Moreover, ACI provides complimentary insights into regulatory developments and compliance issues as an educational resource for clients and compliance professionals alike through quarterly newsletters, seminar series, and social media updates.
For the second year, and counting, ACI sponsored the 2010 NSCP Annual Membership Meeting, an educational forum for compliance professionals within the securities industry. The conference, presented by compliance professionals for compliance professionals, is an educational forum for the compliance community meant to educate the industry on best practices, regulatory developments, and practical applications for regulatory compliance. In an increasingly complicated regulatory environment, ACI is committed to promoting educational opportunities for the professionals who are ultimately responsible for the safeguarding of the financial community.
As an exhibitor, ACI’s monetary contributions have helped support NSCP initiatives and defer the cost of hosting this educational compliance event. For small firms especially, regional and national conferences amongst peers are an increasingly important way for compliance personnel to stay on top of what is required of them and benefit from the experiences of their peers. Additionally, through the resource booth in the exhibitor area, ACI was able to offer one on one complimentary consulting support to CCOs and compliance personnel in attendance as well as answer regulatory accounting questions. In a more general sense, ACI has also sent consulting staff to NSCP’s regional meetings to present on compliance best practices in the workshop sessions.
