ACI files Form Custody on behalf of its broker dealer clients to fulfill their filing obligations.
In 2013, registered broker dealers were assigned a new responsibility of filing Form Custody on a quarterly basis. Form Custody was created with the goal of providing more information to regulators about the processes and procedures implemented by broker dealers who accept and/or hold customer funds and securities. While the possession of customer funds/securities may not be applicable to many broker dealers, the filing requirement continues to exist.
